Pretty much awesome. I don’t want to give too much away, but this is a story about Anya, a girl who has normal teenage problems, and then falls in a well and meets a ghost. And it all goes nuts from there.

I’m a big fan of graphic novels using the illustrations to actually tell the mood and emotion of the story, rather than relying on plot headings and huge patches of dialogue and this took the cake. Visually it’s got a very beautiful feel with lots of soft spiral lines that keep the fluidity of a ghost story just on the edge of creepy but modern. Even better, the characters were memorable and funny.

It’s classic in a way that’s not predictable but not surprising and is well worth the read.

Two thumbs up for a quick masterpiece. It’s rare to pick up a book and not have a single criticism but well, here you go. Read it.
